Recently had a patient come in to the ED after a fall. I noted his extensive clubbing and asked him about it(obviously). It runs in his family-his father and cousin had it.
It was very interesting. I’d never seen the familial type before and also never clubbing this extreme.
He explained how he struggles with his fingers,especially fine motor skills.
Sucks that something so simple can make your life hell.
Edit/Answer WMD: No genetic lung disease,only clubbing. Apart from an old head injury causing epilepsy,he’s completely healthy. Very weird,right?
I was on my way to work,complaining to myself about having to get up so early.
